Broke means broke, except to Congess

You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more.   Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.   Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.   The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.   =========== I just read Waxman championed a bill that passed his house in the middle of the night, some time ago, designed to change Clinton's rule that supplements be catergorized as "food" among other all sorts of nice sounding notions.  If this passes, the federal FDA now can exercise jurisdiction over you vitamin C pill or your niacin.  This was done with the sole intent of taking control of one more area of life, this time to help the drug companies, as well.   1 nation voted against right to food in UN General Assembly dailykos.com "Draft resolution XX... approved on 24 November by a recorded vote of 180 in favour to 1 against (United States), with no abstentions, would have the Assembly reaffirm that hunger constitutes an outrage and a violation of human dignity, requiring the adoption of urgent measures at the national, regional and international level, for its elimination" Again, we see the do-gooder approach to having people hang themselves.  No one seems to explain what this world legal structure will be.  This vote was last year under Mr. Bus; thus you can be assured when it comes back, Mr. Obama will joyfully sign up the US to supply food to the world and control its own people.  The UN has been pushing, and the US is considering, taking all supplements off the shelves and giving it to the doctors to issue prescriptions to drug company formulated pills.  A nice way to sneak this new control and benefit to big Pharma is to have supplements declared food, then the FDA can ban them.  As usual, I don't see any of these rights in the constitution.  Gene
