Gene's Footnotes

I have never been impressed by the messenger and always inspect the message, which I now understand is not the norm. People prefer to filter out discordant information. As such, I am frequently confronted with, "Where did you hear that...." Well, here you go. If you want an email version, send me an email.

The Gorgons Are Now Visible. Too Late?

Below are a few items snatched from the quiet avalanche that is burying us. The only thing positive to say is the faces of the monsters are now plain for all to see, if they look. Then again, few look at Medusa and survive.

1.  From Rod came a reference to a letter to Daniel Pipes in 2007 about one of the "peace activists" on the ships running the Israeli interdiction. This letter was about a disturbance of the a speech by Mr. Pipes, someone worth following. Yes, Greta Berlin is the lost soul in the photo. Oh, she is French, so that explains protesting in leather to help the poor:
...Having read about the incident at UCLA I must admit that I was appalled by Ms. Berlin's behavior, but not at all surprised. I should know, she is after all my ex-stepmother...
After reading your article, I went on to research some of the links that your site provided and found it rather difficult to comprehend some of the titles that are now associated with Ms. Berlin's name. The title of "Peace Activist" is the one I find particularly hypocritical.
On numerous occasions I heard Greta launch the insults "the god damned Israelis, and those F****** Jews" at the dinner table in front of my father (a Jew) and the few Israeli friends and relatives who ventured to visit. Additionally, any rational debate attempted by anyone with an opposing view to Greta's, was immediately terminated with the responses: "Shut up" or "You don't know what the hell you're talking about." The rebuttal usually presented in screaming form.
These comments in juxtaposition to her role as "Peace Activist" I find hard to rectify. It prompts me to ask what should be an obvious question; "At what point did terms of hate and bigotry become synonymous with Peace?"
I was always under the strange impression that the road to peace laid in the arms of those who were tolerant, compassionate, and vehement in their will to understand and to promote understanding. God help us all if this is the role model that we hold up as an embodiment of those ideals!
Sincerely,
Ava E. Berlin

2.  Watch ShoreBank.  It is part of the rat's nest that is Chicago. It will soon receive $75,000,000 "bailout" from the government, not to be confused with you.  Why?  One reason it already was given $35,000,000 by you, because Van Jones, the disappeared  comrade "Czar" of Ministry of Green Stuff, liked it because the bank supported "weatherization."  Mr. Obama supported this drive while on the John Stewart news show.  (As Greg says, you can't make this stuff up.)

Oh, one does get lost in this sewer: ShoreBank had to be saved. Weatherization company Republic Windows and Doors had to be saved because the White House official in charge of weatherization is married to a senior executive at Republic, but the mean B of A wanted their loans back.

Also, the SEIU targeted Republic in 2008, an obvious take over, then B of A for being mean to Republic (the SEIU) claiming Bo of A was interfering with Mr. Obama's weatherization scheme.  The great Governor (sorry, former) Blagojevish supported these assaults.

So now, ShoreBank continues offering mortgages to Chicago folks who can't afford them, which loans require new owners MUST buy green windows, now from another company (Obama ties) that bought Republic, which also got new tax credits.

And the B of A will help carry all this, rather than have SEIU thugs picket officer's homes.  If I recall properly, the SDIC was barred from examining  ShoreBanks books.  The bank was "saved" with your money.

That this sort of blatant theft happens demosntrates how far down the road to fascism we have gone. Officials and the media have to be thoroughly corrupted - the end, have a nice day. Sure, this is Al Capone country, but now the whole nation is being infected.

Can't figure it out, can you?  Anyway, this RICO activity is minuscule compared with the coming Chicago energy exchange theft.  If the bill gets through, the "cap and trade" of a natural gas that has no meaning to the earth, you may as well give up, buy Goldman Sachs, see prior blog, and move either to a hidden piece of land in South Dakota off the grid, or to China, where entrepreneurial freedom is allowed and the rules are clear.

3.  An aside on Anthony (yes, he has a first name) Van Jones. As is the tradition of the oligarchs, even the petty ones, he was not removed in disgrace, being a "truther," as the NLP code word has it, but was appointed by Princeton to be the distinguished visiting fellow in the Center for African American Studies and in the Program in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. These Ivies are a rat's nest of their own, much older and ensconced than the current socialist/fascist thugs. Perhaps, more dangerous than the Chicago one, as they probably run that gang. Below is an excerpt from a 2005 interview (a favorable one) with Mr. Van Jones, who you can see is a real genius. This is a man Princeton thinks is a good fellow:
Jones had planned to move to Washington, DC, and had already landed a job and an apartment there. But in jail, he said, “I met all these young radical people of color — I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of.’” Although he already had a plane ticket, he decided to stay in San Francisco. “I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary.” In the months that followed, he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. “I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th,” he said. “By August, I was a communist.”
So, you may want to keep this in mind when recommending a college.  Of course, Princeton would argue they merely pursue the "academic freedom" real schools assured in the 1960's after "activists" riots. You know the freedom to be a poor scholar and leftist while shouting down traditional scholars and students (who also get bad grades if they speak.) The sad thing, perhaps the final nail, is that today's students have no idea how pathetic their education has become. You can't explain it to them for the eye cannot see itself.

This is all very sad. The point, as the KGB pointed out, see earlier blogs, is to grind down the populace; the KGB understands effective subversion. For my part, I am just treading water seeing no land in sight awaiting exhaustion; and I am far more resilient than most.
