Poll for Wednesday shows that 24% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -18 (see trends)Sixty-five percent (65%) of voters believe that American society is generally fair and decent.  Just 24% view it as unfair and discriminatory. From U.S. Census, number of blacks in the U.S.:  12.8%

Pew Research:  Together, black, Hispanic and Asian voters made up nearly 24 percent of the voters, compared with about 12 percent in 1988.
