Eric Hoffer still instructs
Statism is a new term, a Mark Levin construct, but it was common concern for Hoffer and the millions of those who fought and died in the middle of the last century. Back in the day, it was called Marxism, fascism, NAZIism, communism, socialism and so on.
Hoffer echoes the voice of Madison regarding Federalist Papers No. 10. Below are short quotes from a national treasure, Eric Hoffer, but you won't hear about him in school.
Today, we hear of progressivism and even the term liberalism has been stolen to mask state control. Nonetheless, this new progressivism is the same instinct for power and control, coupled with increasingly ignorant sheeple in our culture. It is very sad that we are giving away what our fathers lived and died to protect. The people giving it away don't even know it. Very sad.
