Debt upon each productive American: $613,861
I did some cypherin' using the government stats which you can find by clicking on the title. I hear that math is not my forte, but this seems pretty straight forward. Advise me if I am off.
1. Number officially reported as unemplyed is 14.6 million, a rate exclaimed as 9.5%.
2. The government does not count those on unemployment insurance as unemployed (I am not making this up) and keeps extending the unemployment period. (A few GOP folks go along with this). The number, using a calculator for fifteen seconds, on unemployment insurance, then, is 14.95 million.
3. Using my calculator, again, I figured out the percentage of Americans on unemployment is 9.7%
4. The number of forced part-time workers is 8.6 million, people on the edge and not paying much in taxes. Now, using arithmetic, again, something the government site can't seem to do, we can add 8.6 to the 14,6 and the 14.95 and find that real unemployment, that which includes taking any job, is 38.15 million.
To make matters worse, the number of government workers in 2007 (it is more now and the Administration is unrestrained) was 11,810,490 or 7.84% of the work force.
It seems to me I can add the unemployed and the governments workers together and discover

Therefore, the true percentage of unemployed is 20.2%

24.8% of the work force needs a job.

It seems to me I can add the unemployed and the governments workers together and discover
the non-productive people in the U.S. comes to 32.64% of workforce
So, lets take the number of working as roughly 153 million (that caluculator again) minus the unproductive and we get, oh lets be rough, 2/3 or 153 or 101 million, the number of people carrying the national debt.
This comes to, roughing out numbers, like the government does,
61,900,000,000,000 divided by 101,000,000,
62,000,000/101 gives us the debt per productive person (and going up):
$613,861
and growing
The adolsecent socialist theory states that we get that money from the "rich." Of course, the rich may not like that idea and like Buffet, Gates, et al., put their money in a trust or just vanish along with companies. These vanishing companies will lay off millions, so your debt will be going up soon. Of course, I may be too conservative, here. I actually think the number of government workers is too low.
So, tell me you don't think your 401k is on the table for confiscation.
