Gene's Footnotes

I have never been impressed by the messenger and always inspect the message, which I now understand is not the norm. People prefer to filter out discordant information. As such, I am frequently confronted with, "Where did you hear that...." Well, here you go. If you want an email version, send me an email.

Just a precis on the current proffered gun control legislation in the Senate.

Democratic Senators believe in the central government confiscating guns to eliminate individualist opposition, but they have been stymied by the Second Amendment, mostly because most Americans are aware of this assault on the Constitution.  If you believe there is a legitimate issue other than control, then go away.  Go measure global warming.

So, we look at the Republicans to discover who voted to permit a "fair discussion" of how to violate the Second Amendment.  Hey, we just want to talk about whether someone can rape your wife.

As I believe the only real plan for remaining free Americans to retrieve the disappearing nation is to vote in primaries to kill of the bad growth, I offer the following Republican Senator's names.  Please, feel free to send this list into cyber space and reflexively reject this gang:

Alexander (TN),
Ayotte (NH),
Burr (NC), Chambliss (GA),
Collins (ME), Corker (TN),
Coburn (OK), Flake (AZ),
Isakson (GA), McCain (AZ),
Heller (NV),
Hoeven (ND),
Kirk (IL),
Graham (SC),
Toomey (PA) (in photo)  and
Wicker (MS).
There is no horse trading regarding a fundamental right, period. If your favorite guy votes that we should discuss whether your daughter can be violated, do you cut him some slack?  Of course not: he is not your guy.  No matter how he pretends, he is a pig and pigs lie.  (Apologies to real pigs)  Anyone who actually has a moral center does not hesitate to remain there. As you listen to the con, feel free to be physically sick.

Your disgust of his opponent is not reason to vote for him. GOP talking heads have rejected this philosophy for decades and look where we are. The land of the least common denominator.  There is no compromising principals.  The left know that, but the right, well half of it, is stupid. Stupid being defined as doing things to injure yourself.

Oh, you think the bill in the Senate is harmless, one of assuring crazy people do not get guns.  I add some highlights of the bill:

1. Universal gun registration.  This is the sine qua non of the state's final tyranny.  The left has known this since World War I. Hitler even announced to the world in the 1930s that he was the first in the Western world to confiscate privately owned guns.  How did that work out?

2,  You cannot sell a private gun without filling out a form 4473 and obtaining government approval?  This is Gun Control for Idiots.

3.  The federal government is not prevented from gathering up the names of the parties to the deal. Duh. Toomey is the Republican Senator who does not see this as registration. Stalin called people like this useful idiots. Oh, wait, bad things will only happen if the rules are evil.  That would never happen. If you do not get this threat, recall the original movie Red Dawn.

4. "Mental health" providers (aka those who took sociology and psychology in college because they could not decide upon a career) can merely place a name on list of the "mentally ill."  The school drone can identify one as HDD, prescribe a drug, and end the chance of that person ever owning a gun.

5.  The VA is empowered to void the Second Amendment rights of a veteran by a memo.  Then, the police swat team is sent to the soldier's house where he is humiliated or shot for having a Constitutional right. Won't happen?  It all ready has in Buffalo.  This provision is clearly aimed at reducing the army of trained soldiers who have already fought to overcome tyranny.  The tricked was highly successful in the Soviet Union.

6.  The enlightened, bipartisan proposal is that, if you are diverted into NYC with a gun in your bags from a state where you may have a gun and were flying to a state where it is also legal, you will be arrested. Again, not happen?  Already has under New York's new safety elimination act.

The point of all this legislation is to create fear, fear creates an inhibition to exercise your legal right, and it creates a direct control over the people.  The Second Amendment has no modifiers:

Amendment II
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
If you think this says that the Second Amendment means only guns for militia, go check your temperature gage. All this provision does is doubly define the natural law accepted at the time that an individual has a right to personal defense. There was a fierce debate in 1887 that the Bill of Rights was redundant!  After generations of English tyranny, our founders understood the evil nature of government and decided to restate the boundaries of the government.

Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin began the horror of the 20th Century by confiscating guns.  Before killing about a million Armenians, the Turks took their guns; Armenians were so fearful about the army, that they bought guns so they would have something to turn in when the troops arrived.

Individual Americans now, after a chaotic buying spree in the past few years, have 300,000,000 guns. Obama recently bought 1.3 billion hollow point (for use against humans) bullets. The government wants to eliminate resistance. It wants a domestic army; didn't get one, so it authorized the U.S. Army to act within the U.S. without warrant.

The future is now reduced to one of two paths. All the rest is noise.

Welcome to the old world, one free of the restraints of a republic, due process, and logic. In the end, we lost World War II, didn't we?  The subversives arrived at NYU and found a virgin people free of suspicion.

============

A note.  Of the more than 300,000,000 guns in America (some estimate to be 400K now) 200,000,000 are long guns. That is, rifles and shot guns.

To show the irrationality of the fear campaign presently in operation, note:

FBI:  In 2011, there were 323 murders committed with a rifle but 496 murders committed with hammers and clubs. There were 356 murders in which a shotgun was the deadly weapon of choice.
(CBS/DC)
Thus, we should register all hammers.  Far more were killed by knives.

When looking for statistics, I found the web flooded with undocumented "stories" that there have already been 2,000 gun murders since Sandy Hook.  The low information voters (the stupid class) are a lost cause, so move on - vote in the primaries. If you laugh at the low information people, they will probably change their views or, at least, check with John Stuart for the truth.

I suggest this entry is worth circulating
