Gene's Footnotes

I have never been impressed by the messenger and always inspect the message, which I now understand is not the norm. People prefer to filter out discordant information. As such, I am frequently confronted with, "Where did you hear that...." Well, here you go. If you want an email version, send me an email.

Ebola Transmission Response

Like I said, you can't believe anything the government tells you:

---- On Wed, 29 Oct 2014 11:47:02 -0400 Irene Wolfson wrote ----
I have since this ebola outbreak began.......months ago.... been researching this topic for my doc friend with whom I used to work.

Coughs, sneezes have droplet plumes of up to 4 to 5 feet out from uncovered mouth of cougher, sneezer, open mouth laugher. Some studies from U of Minnesota epidemiology departments suggest ebola can be transmitted by uncovered coughs, etc.

The problem with ebola is that within that 21 day quarantine period, one day the doc or nurse is fine, the very next day they are vomiting, their body suddenly filled with huge load of the virus. Any uncovered cough or sneeze could expel millions of virus in plume droplets.

This nasty virus which originated in monkeys in africa and possibly bats, is spread in africa easily because of poverty,  weak immune systems due to bad nutrition, burial practices, totally unsanitary conditions and ignorance.  There is now total lack of anything that represents a hospital in those countries most afflicted currently.  Some of the shacks that they call hospitals have been burned down by local people out of fear so there is now nowhere to treat patients except for the field hospitals that the US military is currently building there.

There is absolutely no good or sane reason why we should not immediately ban travel of non American citizens whose origin is those countries now suffering ebola epidemic.  Doc's and med staff who want to go there to help those people can always go by chartered plane and private jet funded by private donors like Samaritan's Purse which has been doing that for many years already.

The problem with any military arosoling this virus is that it is so deadly (90 per cent kill rate in africa) that the users will eventually suffer the same fate as it spreads worldwide. Unless all flights are banned which would shut down the world economy.

That would be just what the jihadis would love to make happen.

A recent study indicates that the ebola surface survives alive on cool surfaces for up to 50 days.

It is a very nasty disease.

Ebola as aerogenic weapon

Notice the underlined part.  If anyone has time and skill, see if the symptoms described here are also found in the current epidemic. There are very few sources of actual symptoms of ebola on the Web and they find their source in the Ministry of Disease (CDC).

NOTE:

Aerosal weaponization:

A paper written by E. Johnson, N. Jaax, J. White, and P. Jahrling of US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, Frederick, Maryland was published in 1995 in the International Journal of Experimental Pathology.

The abstract from the paper, Lethal experimental infections of rhesus monkeys by aerosolized Ebola virus, informs:
The potential of aerogenic infection by Ebola virus was established by using a head-only exposure aerosol system. Virus-containing droplets of 0.8-1.2 microns were generated and administered into the respiratory tract of rhesus monkeys via inhalation. Inhalation of viral doses as low as 400 plaque-forming units of virus caused a rapidly fatal disease in 4-5 days. The illness was clinically identical to that reported for parenteral virus inoculation, except for the occurrence of subcutaneous and venipuncture site bleeding and serosanguineous nasal discharge.
Not sure if this is part of the "except" noted above:
Immunocytochemistry revealed cell-associated Ebola virus antigens present in airway epithelium, alveolar pneumocytes, and macrophages in the lung and pulmonary lymph nodes; extracellular antigen was present on mucosal surfaces of the nose, oropharynx and airways. Aggregates of characteristic filamentous virus were present within type I pneumocytes, macrophages, and air spaces of the lung by electron microscopy. Demonstration of fatal aerosol transmission of this virus in monkeys reinforces the importance of taking appropriate precautions to prevent its potential aerosol transmission to humans.

Transmission (OSHA):

MODE OF TRANSMISSION: In an outbreak, it is hypothesized that the first patient becomes infected as a result of contact with an infected animal (15). Person-to-person transmission occurs via close personal contact with an infected individual or their body fluids during the late stages of infection or after death (1, 2, 15, 27). Nosocomial infections can occur through contact with infected body fluids due to the reuse of unsterilized syringes, needles, or other medical equipment contaminated with these fluids (1, 2). Humans may be infected by handling sick or dead non-human primates and are also at risk when handling the bodies of deceased humans in preparation for funerals, suggesting possible transmission through aerosol droplets (2, 6, 28). In the laboratory, infection through small-particle aerosols has been demonstrated in primates, and airborne spread among humans is strongly suspected, although it has not yet been conclusively demonstrated (1, 6, 13). The importance of this route of transmission is not clear. Poor hygienic conditions can aid the spread of the virus (6).
INCUBATION PERIOD: Two to 21 days, more often 4 – 9 days (1, 13, 14).
Dr. Dan Hoft M.D. Ph.D.  has not seen a documented case of HUMAN aerosol infection, but is concerned about the new outbreak.

Since we are lied to about everything by this dictatorship, one needs to pay attention to reports concerning transmission,  but do not follow any major media reports.

Yemen, Islamic Murder, Oil. So Invest. PS: Mercury is Near Sun,

The Arabian Peninsula is the site of intense skirmishing after the collapse of the ruling family. The fighting is between radical Islamists, currently believed to be time travelers from the distant past. The Hudi gang are surrogates for Iran. Their checkpoint have tourist-based signs like: Death to Americans.

Recently, the man sitting in our presidential office said Yemen was an example his great success.  (Don't forget to vote. Look for people who are not imbeciles or subversives.)

Of course, the UN held a meeting to condemn a mass murder in Yemen:

UNITED NATIONS, October 10 (RIA Novosti) - The United Nations' Security Council on Friday unanimously agreed to a press statement, condemning the bombing which has killed at least 47 people in Sanaa, Yemen and reiterating support for Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
The United Nation's Security Council condemns "the continued attacks against Yemeni security forces in Hadramawt on October 9, as well as in Bayda on October 8, aimed at undermining Yemen's stability," the statement said.
At least, the UN is aware something is happening, unlike the nearby New York Times. Just wait for the murders to find out they have been condemned by oligarchs. This piece above is from Russia. Like I say, look elsewhere for real news.

When the Hudi get to the Gulf, the narrows through which 60% of the Arabian oil passes will be through a straight with Hudi on the East and Somali on the West.

In a normal world, Western companies would not permit the oil to be threatened, but we have a Muslim president who seems mostly Sunni except when they steal our tanks and the media is watching.

Now, it is pointless for any of us to even bother to protest about the great forces at work, even in the U.S., whose leaders have no interest in people. One can always breed new customers. You have lost your opportunity and right to protest your role as serf,  so you may as well make some money on what is to happen.

Once you make some, then convert it to silver. Make enough and you can find a new home in Asia.

Because an election is coming, there is constant talk about how the gas prices are down. People expect this to continue and there is an awareness that natural gas will find away to your car. This depresses future prices. So, there is a downward bias to the price of oil. This is boosting our stock market, which has little to do with our economy, but that is OK, just play "fantasy economics."

I suggest you invest in oil going up.

Iran is being damaged by the loss of oil income as the price drops, so it is pushing to stop the flow or threaten to stop it. The caliphate needs to have the price of oil go up so we can fund our killers. Do not doubt money is behind the chaos in the world. This religion stuff is the latest cattle prod. Frankly. it is amazing the market shrugs it off a Middle East in flames. Times have certainly changed. We are like the frog who is slowly being boiled and doesn't notice.

So, invest in oil.

Just take a small, leveraged position as one never knows what will happen.  It looks to me like the next OMG!

PS. Another genius was on John Batchelor, just now. He is some sort of hack, David Grinspoon, and I hope he Googles himself, who has some sinecure with the Library of Congress. He let me know that Mercury is very hot because of uncontrolled greenhouse effect!  He said this in passing talking about Venus, where there must some sort of "weird snow" on the mountain peeks.  I am not up on scientific terminology, so I cannot elucidate.

Anyway, consider this as why Mercury is warm:

I am conflicted, in my new venture as an author discussing reason, as what terms to use, such as: stupid, ignorant, brain-washed, true believer, obtuse, dolt… They seem all apply to the Grinspoons of the world

Maybe we call people "grinspooned."

As in: The grinspooned, we have with us, always.

OMG, my annoying auto spell checker changed the word to: grin spoon. That must be the origin of the name. Sort of charming. He could have been Mr. Frownspoon.

(.) (.)

Below is an excerpt from a climate geniuses. It begs a request.

I am working on a book concerning fundamental aspects of reason; in that examination I frequently run up against the magical failure to accept contradictory assumptions or corrections. I think we need a new term.

So far, I mention normalcy bias, lying, glazing over, and stupidity. However, I am taking submissions for the following: when a true believer attempts to respond to a violation of his faith, he will not address his own assumptions, as would a reasonable person.

Rather, he will create a new reality to explain why the true belief must be left alone. That is, "I don't have to defend whimsical conclusions because others are just as bad."  This is sort of like: "Bush, did it, too!" An immaterial avoidance of thought.

So, if you come up with a name, I will send you one dollar, American, which will get you two stamps.

Here is the gist of this new thought process, with my expansion:

1.  there is evil climate change, forever undefined (called "climate forcing" !!!!!!)
2.  we have to stop using oil or the earth succumbs
3.  natural gas has much less CO2 than evil oil
4.  scientists invented ways to obtain cheaper natural gas!
5.  statists do not want us to be free of energy control
(or, more likely, I hear my gods tell me fracking is not permitted.)
Therefore, getting natural gas is bad.

I think I got that right.

Anyway, here is where I need a term:  sure, we can use cheaper, safer gas and produce much less CO2, BUT, the resulting economic boom will use result in the use of more gas, which will result in evil CO2 levels still destroying the earth. So, come on and make an suggestion.

This logic is like: if we feed starving Ethiopans, then they will produce more Ethiopians and a greater crisis.

Read it, below, if you have nothing better to do or find yourself on the john. Forget about actually doing the numbers. Just repeat: models show an increase of climate forcing up to 7%, whatever that means.

“The most important energy development of the past decade has been the wide deployment of hydraulic fracturing technologies that enable the production of previously uneconomic shale gas resources in North America1. If these advanced gas production technologies were to be deployed globally, the energy market could see a large influx of economically competitive unconventional gas resources. The climate implications of such abundant natural gas have been hotly debated... Here we show that market-driven increases in global supplies of unconventional natural gas do not discernibly reduce the trajectory of greenhouse gas emissions or climate forcing. Our results, based on simulations from five state-of-the-art integrated assessment models of energy–economy–climate systems independently forced by an abundant gas scenario, project large additional natural gas consumption of up to +170 per cent by 2050.
The impact on CO2 emissions, however, is found to be much smaller (from −2 per cent to +11 per cent), and a majority of the models reported a small increase in climate forcing (from −0.3 per cent to +7 per cent) associated with the increased use of abundant gas. Our results show that although market penetration of globally abundant gas may substantially change the future energy system, it is not necessarily an effective substitute for climate change mitigation policy.”

The November Culling

You can drop down to the quote below to see what prompted this entry. If you drop down, you will miss fine literature.
--

I tend to wake somewhat early and put on the radio to talk me back into sleep, a fine strategy.  I wake an  hour or so later, usually, to the teenager's guide to business on the Wall Street Journal Report. It is interesting to hear how kids report economic information and news. They say things like, "What is trending is like…" This is the ESPN model of financial reporting.  I quickly tune to the overnight BBC segments on the public radio.

Here, you get on the ground reportage, including bombs in the background. One receives reports from all over the world. The host is subtle, quick, and right ontop of the reporter with quick questions. Many interview segments have no equivalent in our media and there are immediate comments from all over the world that pepper the show. Not infrequently some Monty Python character arrives exercise a polished, affected, class voice and pompously deflect all material questions.

The intense and urbane chatter of the BBC is replaced by 1960 jingles and hip jazz sounds, for the 1960s, as well as endless non-commericals commercials.  Today, however, I have to report the crap-trail that are criss crossing our skies.

The BBC previously had a report that the demonstrators in Hong Kong were dispersing over the weekend and there was a deadline issued by the Chinese government that demonstrators should go away by Monday. However, according to NPR, the attempts to quell the demonstrations were not working and there are not enough police or jails to deal with demonstrators. (I guess they stopped using tanks.)  That the left turning on Beijing is interesting; but, wait, there is more.

The show "Marketplace" came on, the NPR source of business news. Here is a page to visit. Listen if you like. The interview was about
William Dudley, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, thinks a lot about inflation. He joined Marketplace Morning Report host David Brancaccio to talk about when to raise interest rates to thwart inflation, and why he thinks it's good to let the economy run "a little hot" before taking action.
...Dudley also addresses concerns that the New York Fed has become too deferential to the financial institutions it watches over. This question moved to the foreground after the public radio program This American Lifealong with news organization ProPublicaobtained audio recordings made secretly inside the New York Fed. The recordings were made by a former New York Fed employee who later sued for wrongful dismissal.
The interview assumed at all times, and by Dudley, that the NY Fed was a government organization that governs the financial community. Dudley agreed that the NY Fed did become too close to those it was supervising!  Wait, some more:    !!   !!

I am becoming typeless. Obviously, Dudley was lying. The key question is the national reporter a liar or incredibly stupid. (David Brancaccio)  I am not so sure, having heard the WSJ Reports.

The Federal Reserve of New York is a member of the Federal Reserve. The FED is the financial community!

The above lie is Orwellian and is broadcast across the U.S. to true believers.

On top of lying about the Fed, this weasel, listen for yourself, Dudley agreed the Fed was too close to the banks and presented his job as regulating the rapists he represents.  Since 1913, The Fed pretends to be part of the government and this still works, except on the stupid people of the Tea Party and Libertarians.

So, I return to an earlier thought: go and vote this year and focus on your board of education. You have to do your homework to root out the dilettantes. The national elections are easy, vote against all people Washington. Begin the virtual term limit movement.

Usually, professional educators are the NPR types who have no idea their ideas are destroying children's futures. The school boards are supposed to guide the physical operations of the districts, but they are packed with profoundly dangerous elitists who have lunch with the teacher's unions.

For God's sake, home school.

I turned off the radio when it announced the latest thing in Vermont is the adoption of the new "Big History" in schools where the broad impact of things like global warming are studied. Who needs a history of the Fed?

There is no more important vote than that of the school district. On the federal level, all we can hope for is massive gridlock, so the rest of us can gird ourself.  However, we cannot survive another generation of poorly educated true believers. Like, umm, tweet that.

Take out all establishment leeches. Parties do not matter. Locally, we have another Harvard kid who never had a real job running for Congress, who was picked by the Rove types. It is time for grown ups, so we each must seek them out or, probably, ask them to run. Those who seek office, regardless of party, for the most part, are mentally or morally defective

It is our fault

Quote site

So, when people applaud a statist as a candidate, traditional Americans will not vote. The collectivists, in all their names, will vote for the statist. Hence, a McCain, Romney, an all other Rove dreams will lose until either it is too late to recover or there is an insurrection in the party. However, the big money is comfortable with statist who control borrowing and spending.

The only way to turn the corner is for all of us to become involved at the grass roots level, run, or support Constitutionalists as candidates. Be clear that we will not support a "party" selection because he is in our gang.

Vote in the Primaries.  That is our last chance.  The elections are a rigged game between anti-Cohstitutionalists.

If the nation goes down because Marxists beat a Constitutionalists, so be it, but why drift down by opposing the state with a slightly smaller state?

The sole reason Americans can vote for an Obama is a lack of a moral foundation, which would include a respect for individual freedom. All the rest is noise. Honorable people will not vote for liars, thieves, and manipulators just because they get support from the other taxpayers.
